TENURE TRACK and TIER II CANADA RESEARCH CHAIR IN SUSTAINABILITY OF ECOLOGICAL SYSTEMS, CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY, MONTREAL

We have an opening for a Canada Research Chair (a research-intensive tenure-track faculty position) in Sustainability of Ecological Systems in our Biology Department at Concordia. This is a broadly defined search for an ecology/evolution researcher with a sustainability focus. For example, applicants may conduct research in areas including (but not limited to) climate change, environmental genomics, aquatic or terrestrial ecosystem ecology, eco-evolutionary dynamics, conservation biology, microbial ecology, socioecological systems, fisheries, forestry, soil science, disease ecology, or chemical ecology. The ideal candidate will also have experience with multidisciplinary research towards collaborative sustainability initiatives, and will find enthusiastic colleagues across disciplines in our Loyola Sustainability Research Centre, as well as through several Quebec-based research centres (e.g. Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science).

Our Biology Department has a strong (and growing) ecology and conservation group, who care about creating a welcoming and supportive environment for new faculty. We particularly encourage applicants with a demonstrated commitment to supporting equitable and inclusive learning environments.
